The ODA (Draxonians’ Association) are proud to welcome you to our comprehensive Alumni area, where you can find out about our up and coming events, business networking, student mentoring and much more.

Having attended the school from 1990-2001, and being one of the first girls to start at the school in the newly created Pre-Prep Department - located at Strickland House in Camblesforth - it is a privilege to (nearly 20 years on) have been appointed as Administrator for the ODA, and exciting to now be part of this new phase of Read School’s history.

We now have the opportunity to showcase all the various reunion events that the ODA run throughout the year, as well as an interactive ‘history’ section where you will be able to see the rich timeline of historical events that Read has endured and encountered of the years since its founding in 1667. We would like to thank John Freeman for all his time digitising all our archives to enable us to present them to you. If you have anything you would like to share with the school, please do drop me an email. We would also like to encourage you to input or update your details so we can keep you updated on events, newsletters and any other ODA news.

It’s been fantastic to walk back into Read and see the changes that have occurred over the years. I’ve been impressed with the plans for the future, and the positivity I’ve been greeted with and I hope that with the continued development of the ODA, we will be able to work even more collaboratively along side the school; not only giving past pupils the opportunity to see ‘old’, familiar faces on a regular basis, but to also support the school in its growth and an exciting future.

Please feel free to pop into the school, we would love to welcome all Draxionians back to the school at any time and especially at Open Days, Reunions and School Services.
