Fund-raising fun
Pupils at Read School have today raised a magnificent £1044.01 for charity. A spotty theme ran throughout the day with pupils and staff turning up for school in spotty clothes, spotty face-painting, spotty cakes on a cake stall and lots of other money raising activities. The day began with a ‘live’ video interview with X-Factor star Cheryl Cole who also sang her latest hit, ‘Fight for this love’ – aka a very thinly disguised Geography teacher, Mike Page, who entered whole-heartedly in to the spirit of the day.
Money raised will be divided equally between Children in Need, the Rotary Club Shoebox Appeal and Help for Heroes.
