Headmaster Dr John Sweetman says: I am very pleased with the success of our Sixth Form pupils this year.
The percentage of A/A* grades they achieved has increased despite reports in the media that the highest grades have been more difficult to attain. Eighty three percent of our pupils have been accepted at their first choice university and overall all those pupils intending to go to University have secured a place. The success of our pupils is down to their own hard work and is testament to the dedication of highly supportive and skilful teaching and support staff. The pupils can be proud of their achievements and I am confident that they are fully prepared to achieve success in the next stage of their lives.
Students of particular note are: Alex Oliver (AAA), Henry Hornsby (ABB), Alice Campbell-Wood (A*BC), Alex Needham (ABC) and Izaak Hayes (BBB).
We wish them all well with their future studies.
