U13 Hockey v Minster School

Monday 2nd October 2017

It is always a good game against Minster School but the girls had a slow start allowing the opposition to get two ahead, early doors. The girls soon found their feet and managed to come back with some fantastic defence from Lily Handforth, Martha Love and Lexie Maw in goal. The midfielders, namely, Charlotte Fildes, Emily King, Jess Henry and Kaela Abrams had a challenge on their hands, driving the ball up the pitch, but also ensuring they could backtrack in order to support the defence. Isobel Campbell-Baldwin initially played up front but she was flexible in her positioning and worked hard to link the balls from midfield. We scored a few goals but unfortunately succumbed to a 3-5 loss. There were lots of great set plays shown and supportive teamwork that shows potential for the future.
