11 of our year 10 pupils completed the expedition section of their Silver DofE award in Swaledale. They walked for three days carrying their rucksacks with all their kit in, including their tents, sleeping bags, stoves and food. They had planned the routes before they set off and were assessed by an external assessor who complimented them at the end.
They camped out at two different campsites ; one in Muker and one in Reeth. The weather was perfect for walking and the scenery was breathtaking as you can see by the pictures. We were very proud of the teamwork, navigation and attitude of these pupils and hope that they now go on to complete the other sections of the award.
