What a fantastic first Colour Run 2017. We really did paint a rainbow in the sky! Karen Ratcliffe Chair of the PFA decided it would be a great opportunity to try something a little different, and to also help the World Challenge Team on their way, by holding this colourful wonderful event.
It really did take some organising. Considering we started with 50 runners and ended up with over 80 I think it is fair to say that we all had a super day. The obstacle course was set out on the back field by Mr Galen Hill & Mr Ben Garrard who steered the teams of runners in the right direction.
Some of the obstacles were used as paint throwing stations, where our colour run crew threw the coloured dust clouds all over the runners.
The weather managed to stay dry, which really did help make the day run very smoothly, though as you can see the sky was starting to bruise in a somewhat unnerving manner!
It was fantastic to see so many age ranges participate, including parents and teachers. It’s looking very likely we shall be rolling out another for 2018 so watch this space. A massive thanks to Karen and her team at the PFA though, without whose diligence and determination, none of this would have been possible.
