It was a fresh morning and the girls were feeling pumped up from their previous win against Ackworth. They started well, going into the lead early. It was a fairly steady game so the ball was well spread up and down the court. There were some fantastic interceptions in the circle from Evie Harness and Gabby Athraby so it made it a challenge for Scarborough to score. After some tactical talk they seemed to become more switched on and determined. There was some lovely play in the mid-court between Lorna Inglis, Georgia Beaumont, Olivia Crossley and Polly Brooks. Fortunately the shooters, Martha Love and Isobel Campbell Baldwin managed to hold their shots, securing a close 8-6 win.
The U15 girls have now had two wins under their belt so the team spirit was high. They started hard and were 8-2 up in the first quarter. Throughout the game there were some fantastic turnovers of play from Grace Handforth, Lucy Barrickand Anya McAvoy. The mid-court players of Holly Langdale, Annie Henry and Amy Lister also interacted well in order to get into the best position to send the ball to the shooters, Katie Watson and Alex Collinson. This resulted in a victorious 29-6.
