Joining Read School Sixth Form

Choosing where to study for your A-Levels or Level 3 qualifications is a pivotal decision. At Read School, we ensure a seamless, personal transition into our Sixth Form, supporting both internal pupils and those joining us from other schools.

Ready to Experience Read Sixth Form?

1. Explore & Visit: Discover life in the Sixth Form.

Attend an Open Evening or schedule an individual tour with our Head of Sixth Form to discuss subject choices, career ambitions, and campus facilities.

2. Experience a Taster Day: Live a day in the life of a Read Sixth Former.

Prospective pupils are invited to spend one or more 'Taster Days' with us - attending A-Level and BTEC classes, meeting current students, and getting to know our teaching staff.

3. Application & Consultation: Reviewing options & entry pathways.

Complete our straightforward application form. We will arrange an informal discussion to review predicted GCSE grades, subject preferences, and co-curricular interests.

4. Offer & Enrolment: Securing your place.

Offers are made based on predicted grades and school references. Places are formally confirmed on GCSE Results Day in August.

Our Admissions Policy

Read School seeks to offer admission to children of a wide range of abilities and learning needs who can benefit from and contribute to the vibrant life of our community. We evaluate every applicant holistically, looking at potential, personal character, and enthusiasm for learning.

To register your child at Read School, please get in touch with our Admissions Team, and we will send you a registration pack.

Registration Fees:

Day Pupils: £60
Overseas Pupils: £180
