Read School Summer Holiday Club & Activity Programme
Ages 7-14 (Year 2 – Year 9)
Summer Holiday Club & Activity Programme
Looking ahead to the summer break? Read School runs an exciting, action-packed Summer Activity Programme during the summer holidays to keep children active, inspired, and engaged.
Our holiday club is open to both Read School pupils and children from the wider local community- making it a wonderful opportunity for friends and siblings to join in the fun!
To help families plan ahead, full details, schedules, and booking links are released during the Spring Term. We share all updates directly via our parent communications and across our official social media channels, giving everyone plenty of time to get organised for the break.
Something for Every Child
Our summer provision offers a rich, diverse range of activities designed to appeal to every interest, passion, and age group. A typical summer line-up often includes:
-
Creative & Performing Arts: Arts and crafts, drama, film workshops, and cooking.
-
Sports & Active Fun: Sports coaching, outdoor learning and gardening club.
-
Exciting Day Trips: Outings to local water parks, historical Roman sites, and football stadium tours!
Be sure to follow our social media pages and keep an eye out during the Spring Term for our full timetable and registration details!
The Summer Activity Programme will be open to Read School pupils as well as visiting overseas pupils. If your child fancies a sleepover adventure, a boarding option is also available. Please contact us at info@readschool.co.uk for more information.
Summer activities for our youngest pupils (Reception and Year 1) are offered by the Read School Pre-School partner Kids’ Corner who may be contacted at drax@kidscornernurseries.co.uk.

The 'Get Your Sportshead On' Multi Sports Holiday Camps also run sessions in all school holidays. For further information, please contact Mr Matthews and Mr Hill on
