It has been an extraordinary 351st year in the history of Read School and I hope you agree that this magazine
is a fitting testament to the many accomplishments of the year and to the range
and diversity of activity that takes place daily throughout the school. Not least it has been a singular year as the baton of headship has been passed from Dr John Sweetman who retired from school after 13 years of service in November 2017, to Mr Mark Voisey who ably steered the school through the ISI inspection detailed overleaf, to myself. After three years back in the corporate world, it is an absolute pleasure to return to Read School and I have enjoyed every single minute so far.
