The aim of the Read School Parents and Friends Association is to organise social/fun events throughout the year whilst at the same time raising money which enables the association to provide extra equipment for the school, which helps to give the children a more interesting and varied school life.

The kind of events that have been held in the past include a PFA Family Fun Day, Christmas Artisan market, Fashion Show and our annual Winter Ball.

A second-hand clothes shop is run by the PFA and is well supported by parents, both for purchases and sales.

The shop which is located in the back of Moloney Hall (opposite Junior School) is open every Thursday 3:45-4:45 pm.

There are many items of Read School uniform, all of good quality, priced from £1 to £5

We would be grateful for any donations of old Read School uniform if it's clean and in good condition. We need more uniform in all sizes, especially for Senior School. Please bring any old uniforms to Read School Reception, marked for the attention of Read PFA.

Over the past five years the PFA have raised over £30,000 in additional funds to purchase resources and extras for Read School pupils.   Recent projects have included new archery lanes for the CCF, resources for the CREST Science club and splash suits for Lower Juniors.

One or two planning meetings are held each term. The PFA will add meeting dates to the school newsletter as they arise, and all parents are welcome to attend.
