Student Leadership & Responsibility
The House System serves as a vital platform for developing leadership skills. Each House is led by a House Captain and Vice Captain, appointed through a rigorous annual selection process.
House Captains hold key leadership roles within the school community, taking responsibility for:

Team Selection: Organising contestants and sports teams for House competitions throughout the academic year.

Termly Competitions & Point Systems
House points are awarded continually throughout the year—via Dojos in the Prep School and Merits in the Senior School.
To keep pupils engaged across all talents and interests, each term features three dedicated House Competitions built around three core pillars:

The Race for 'Top House'
At the final assembly of each term, excitement peaks as points are tallied and the winning House is crowned Top House.
Representing their House is a point of pride for Read School pupils. Whether competing on the pitch, designing for the arts, or debating complex issues, students show remarkable spirit, enthusiasm, and loyalty to their team.
